Claude
Connect the Avvyr MCP servers to Claude on the web, Claude Desktop and mobile
In Claude, MCP servers are added as custom connectors. A connector you add on claude.ai is also available in Claude Desktop and the mobile apps.
Add the connectors
- Open Settings → Connectors and choose Add custom connector.
- Add one or both servers:
| Name | URL |
|---|---|
| Avvyr Docs | https://mcp.avvyr.com/docs/mcp |
| Avvyr | https://mcp.avvyr.com/mcp |
- For Avvyr, choose Connect. The Avvyr sign-in opens: sign in, pick the store and approve what Claude may do. Read access is preselected; tick write access only if Claude should be able to make changes.
No API key is needed. For a connection that can never write, use https://mcp.avvyr.com/mcp?read-only=true as the URL.
On Team and Enterprise plans, an owner may need to add custom connectors for the organization first.
Use them in a chat
Turn the connectors on for a conversation from the tools menu in the message box, then ask:
"Which products have less than 10 in stock?""What does the Storefront API cart endpoint expect?"
Disconnect
Remove the connector in Claude, or revoke the connection in Avvyr under Settings → Integrations → Connected apps. Revoking in Avvyr stops it immediately.
Claude Desktop config file
claude_desktop_config.json only starts local servers. Add Avvyr as a connector as above instead, not in the config file.
